Step 1: Sign Me Up Becoming an RBRC licensee is a cost-effective way to dispose of your used rechargeable batteries.
Step 2: If its rechargeable, its recyclable! RBRC provides its Battery Recycling Seals to our Licensees to imprint on the rechargeable battery packs. This way Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-ion and Pb battery packs are easily identified as recyclable by the end user and retailers.
Step 3: Three Ways to Recycle
- Consumers can return their used rechargeable batteries to participating retail stores.
- Businesses and public agencies that use large quantities of rechargeable batteries can sign up with RBRC to implement their own recycling programs. Collection and shipping materials are available through RBRC.
- Communities, through the RBRC program, can include rechargeable batteries in their local recycling programs.
Step 4: Batteries reborn! Retailers, businesses, communities and public agencies collect the spent battery packs and ship them to a recycling facility. The recovered materials can be used to make new products such as new batteries and stainless steel products.
Step 5: Replenish your seal inventory. The RBRC battery recycling seals are available as electronic files as well as logo sheets, which are suitable for scanning. Go to our Licensee Support page to download the seal and usage guidelines. RBRC National Retail Partners - United States RBRC National Retail Partners - Canada
